An immersive new space celebrates the brand's european retail expansion and previews the debut of the first sustainable collection, scheduled for 2025.
BATA has inaugurated its new pop-up store in the heart of Barcelona’s renowned Las Ramblas, marking a significant step in the brand’s reorganization journey and reaffirming its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and European retail expansion. Featuring a unique and immersive design, the new Bata store on Las Ramblas includes a vertical botanical garden installation by Quo Artis, an international foundation dedicated to art and science based in Barcelona.
Composed of 100% natural plants, sustainably preserved and fully recyclable, this space is much more than a temporary retail spot: it’s a preview of the green path Bata embarked on over a year ago, dedicating a specialized team to sustainability.
This commitment will reach its full expression in 2025 with the launch of the brand's first sustainable collection.
The choice of Barcelona is intentional.
As part of a structured expansion project within the Spanish market, Barcelona stands as a strategic location with an audience that has consistently responded positively to the brand's offerings.
Under the leadership of its new president, Marco Agnolin, BATA is also implementing a deep corporate reorganization in retail and communications, alongside a growing investment in research and product development.
The goal is to maintain the values that have made BATA a global leader in footwear while keeping pace with new market trends and ever-evolving consumer habits.
This opening is yet another sign of BATA's commitment, as the brand has spent 130 years understanding consumer needs and looking to the future with a strong corporate ethic, focusing on quality products accessible to all.
The goal is to engage an increasingly younger audience through an empathetic and inclusive approach, strengthening the relationship between the brand and its community.
Today, BATA has a global presence with 5,000 stores, including 320 in Europe and 220 in Italy, reaffirming its position as a global brand and leader in footwear production.
