This initiative stems from a shared commitment to protecting the Planet and highlights the importance of environmental responsibility and beauty as a means to raise awareness about climate change.

The project, titled ALL ABOUT MY MOTHER (Earth), is a tribute to what has always been our "Mother Earth," the beating heart of our existence.

The Earth, now more than ever, suffers due to the inevitable warming caused by irresponsible and aggressive human behavior.

Through his illustrations, Jacopo Ascari creates a melancholic yet powerful metaphor of our relationship with the Earth, drawing inspiration from famous works of art from the Renaissance and modern history.

His visual interpretations recall the iconography of mothers and courageous women as symbols of rebirth and hope, giving voice to a message of love and gratitude toward our Planet.

The concept of Mother Earth is expressed through a combination of sensitivity, strength, and beauty, with a particular emphasis on the idea that beauty can save the world—echoing Dostoevsky’s famous quote: "Beauty will save the world."

Jacopo Ascari, known for his ability to blend art, design, and social commentary, chose to draw inspiration from masters such as Botticelli, Picasso, and Klimt, merging these influences into a visual project that seeks to raise awareness about the urgent need for change.

The artist also referenced Pedro Almodóvar’s film All About My Mother to evoke the importance of a caring, attentive relationship—similar to the one we should nurture with our Mother Earth.

“This project was born from the desire to honor the Earth as one honors a mother: with respect, tenderness, and deep love.

I envisioned a series of images that speak to the heart, evoking feminine icons from the history of art—reinterpretations of works by Botticelli, Klimt, and Picasso—as symbols of rebirth and protection.

I believe that art, like fashion, has the power to raise awareness and stir consciousness. Together with Thermore, I wanted to create a visual message that inspires everyone to take better care of our Planet, each and every day,” said Jacopo Ascari.

The puffer jacket created by Contrado, featuring Thermore insulation and enhanced by Jacopo Ascari's illustrations, is a tangible symbol of this collaboration.

The jacket is not just a piece of clothing, but a true message of awareness—a visual statement of Thermore's commitment to promoting responsibility toward the Planet through its innovative and low-impact materials.

“This collaboration perfectly aligns with Contrado’s vision of merging art with conscious fashion,” said Chris Childs, Director of Contrado. “Through our work with Jacopo Ascari and Thermore, we’ve created pieces that are not only bold visual statements but also carry a meaningful message about our shared responsibility to the environment. At Contrado, our print-on-demand model ensures minimal waste and more sustainable production, reinforcing our commitment to ethical and responsible fashion.”

Laura Beachy, VP of Global Marketing and Communication at Thermore, added:“At Thermore, we believe sustainability should be at the heart of every innovation. This project represents our commitment not only to developing low-impact insulation, but also to supporting creative initiatives that spark broader conversations about the future of our Planet.”

Thermore® Ecodown is at the heart of the Contrado jacket. This innovative insulation, made from recycled fibers sourced from post-consumer PET bottles, marks a true revolution in the world of outdoor apparel by combining high performance with sustainability.

The result of years of research and development, Thermore® Ecodown offers a responsible and high-performing alternative to traditional padding.

This project is not just a creative endeavor, but a genuine declaration of love for our Planet.

Through the beauty of the visuals and the power of the messages conveyed, Thermore, Jacopo Ascari, and Contrado aim to inspire the public to reflect on their relationship with the Earth and to make more conscious choices for the future of our environment.
