A new collection marks a new reflection for Francesca Liberatore, who, through formative authorial quotes, narrates a vision of fashion that cannot be subdued, conformist, or servile, but must instead be autonomous and a vibrant spokesperson for its own dignity—built on a foundation of knowledge, without which even imagination is cut short, just as the eye is blind without the notions absorbed in the mind, or feelings are sterile without the nuances of the spirit.

"Everything seems big when you're on your knees," quoting Michela Murgia, while discernment and creation place us in continuous investigation, constantly elevating us in spirit—and this should once again become a priority.

Thus alternates essence with expediency, built on the mutability of contemporary fashion, which seems only to take without giving back to society new visions.

It is precisely this "new" vision that is being urged among the younger generations, emphasizing the importance of knowledge during the formative years of an individual’s life, when absorption lays the groundwork for future choices.

Framing this narrative is the prestigious setting of the Milano Spiga Comprehensive Institute (ICS) in Bastion di Porta Nuova, with its main campus at Via Santo Spirito 21.

“I felt the need to reintroduce the values of an unspoiled reality—the longing for the impossible seen through a child's eyes, the spontaneous search for beauty, the curious openness, the passage of time that shapes us in those vital years. I am grateful for the strength and vision this has given me today,” says Francesca Liberatore. She continues: “A heartfelt thank you goes to Principal Prof. Angelina Di Nardo and her staff, for the foresight and passion with which they nurture young minds from the earliest years, promoting open-minded projects like Milano Spiga for their students, along with exceptional competence in managing such institutions.”

Prof. Angelina Di Nardo: “Hosting Francesca Liberatore’s fashion show is an experience that transcends the fashion event itself—it is a declaration of how culture, in all its forms, can find a home within the walls of a school. The Milano Spiga Institute is not only a place of academic learning but a fertile ground where curiosity, creativity, and a passion for beauty are cultivated. Francesca’s collection invites us to reflect on identity, freedom of expression, and the value of time—central themes in our educational vision and ones we strive to pass on to our students daily. Her presence is a priceless gift for our students, a unique opportunity to connect with the world of fashion and discover the talent of a designer who has managed to combine creativity and social commitment. I am grateful to Francesca for choosing the 'Milano Spiga' Institute as the backdrop for her show. Our collaboration will continue into May during the 'Spiga Week,' a project that is now in its fourth edition as part of our Educational Offer Plan.”

"Those who have language have ideas," adds Alessandro Turci in describing Liberatore’s Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection, which redefines its own phrasing of fluid and dynamic identities with outfits free from schemes and trends, featuring a relaxed ethno-chic touch.

Among velvets and leathers with distressed effects, there emerges a Spanish memory with wide-brimmed hats and loose volumes, ultra-soft trimmed jackets with horizontal cutouts, knitted skirts, furry hoodies and tartan, petal-like slits.

A misty palette where amethyst blends with cocoa, burgundy with olive green, in a setting of natural tones through to oversized black and white checks.

The materials play light and fluid in a nomadic motion that seeks not a specific belonging, but rather a free expression of movement.

Elegance becomes a matter of attitude.

A temporal journey of women and garments of diverse identities—some new, others belonging to past vocabularies that the designer considers timeless.

These are garments we continue to wear differently at various stages of life, defining our personal histories in a blend of innovation, reuse, and reinvention of the brand itself.

From this, the collaboration with DHL Express (a longtime partner since the designer’s victory in a New York competition) also emerges: a capsule of accessories, from mini to maxi bags, created using preserved PVCs from previous shows, following the legacy of Francesca Liberatore’s iconic two-dimensional leather bag.

“We have always supported the fashion sector, breaking down geographical barriers and promoting the excellence of Made in Italy. This demonstrates our commitment to a sector that, in the first ten months of 2024, recorded a positive trade balance of €35.7 billion—an increase of €3.5 billion compared to the same period in 2023,” says Antonella Sada, Head of Public Affairs, Brand & Communications and Sustainability at DHL Express Italy. “We have supported fashion designer Francesca Liberatore since her beginnings, backing her international journey that started with her win in the 2014 DHL Exported competition, an initiative dedicated to emerging designers. This show proved how creative talent in fashion can become a vehicle for sustainable material reuse, blending innovation and responsibility.”
