ANTEPRIMA

A Symphony of Light and Art: Anteprima × Mika Ninagawa.

On the occasion of Milan Design Week, ANTEPRIMA presents an extraordinary exhibition in collaboration with renowned international photographer, director, and artist Mika Ninagawa.

The event, hosted at the iconic concept store 10 Corso Como in Milan, also marks the exclusive launch of a special capsule collection.

During the event, which will take place from April 7 to 12, visitors will be able to admire two captivating installations: "Within the Breath of Light and Shadow", a luminous composition resembling a garland that weaves together crystals, suncatchers, butterflies, stars, hearts, and dark-toned motifs; and "Liberation and Obsession", a series of works reflecting Ninagawa's inner world through symbolic colors and imagery.

The exhibition explores themes of innocence and desire, evoking the childlike wonder of discovering a treasure chest full of jewels, contrasted with symbols of social constraints and unspoken longings.

The intense interplay of color and ornamentation highlights a psychological tension between obsession and freedom.

ANTEPRIMA’s Creative Director, Izumi Ogino, states:

“My goal is to foster cultural exchange and collaborations across different art forms—from ballet to music to contemporary art—to create waves of inspiration that leave a lasting impression. Fashion is a powerful tool for connection, much like a frame that amplifies the impact of art. The bond between fashion and art is profound, offering endless possibilities for expression and storytelling that can leave a lasting mark. As a passionate supporter of visionary artists and designers, I am proud of ANTEPRIMA’s role in exploring new perspectives and helping to redefine the future of fashion and art.”

Inspired by Ninagawa’s exhibition, ANTEPRIMA has created six “Wirebag Art” pieces. The brand’s iconic wire bags become canvases adorned with vibrant crystals, reflective suncatchers, butterflies, stars, hearts, eyes, and precious stones.

Each bag embodies a sense of nostalgia and playfulness, not only enhancing its visual appeal but also weaving a heartfelt narrative of cherished memories.

This collaboration encapsulates ANTEPRIMA’s “LOVE” philosophy and celebrates the whimsical essence that art brings into everyday life.

D.A.T.E.

D.A.T.E. and Michele Simonetti: The Perfect Encounter Between Design and Art at Milan Design Week.

Design Week 2025 will be the stage for a collaboration destined to make an impact.

The iconic sneaker brand D.A.T.E. joins forces with Michele Simonetti, the Florentine artist known for reinventing the urban landscape through his unmistakable abstract language.

This is a perfect fusion of fashion, art, and architecture—one that celebrates minimalist aesthetics and the beauty of the city.

Simonetti, both an architect and artist, made the decision twelve years ago to move to New York, where he developed a creative journey rooted in the purity of form and color.

His works are emotional landscapes—urban visions that tell collective stories through lines, geometry, and refined tones, exploring the deep connection between space and memory.

It is precisely the urban landscape that serves as the common thread in this extraordinary collaboration, bringing together D.A.T.E. and Simonetti in a celebration of design and the city—two elements that strongly connect them, especially to their shared roots in Florence.

The beating heart of the collaboration between D.A.T.E. and Michele Simonetti will be the D.A.T.E. flagship store in Milan, which, during Design Week, will host an exclusive exhibition of the artist’s most iconic works.

The event, taking place on April 10, will be the perfect occasion to discover "Cityscapes – Urban Landscapes", a collection inspired by metropolitan life, street style, and the vibrant soul of the city.

In true D.A.T.E. fashion, the exhibition will offer a unique sensory experience, blending diverse materials, essential forms, and colors that reinterpret the city in a new light.

Each piece will be a visual narrative—a fragment of an imaginary city, yet intensely real in its detail.

This exclusive vernissage will also be an opportunity to meet Michele Simonetti, dive into his creative process, and experience the emotion of art that speaks to both heart and mind.

The D.A.T.E. flagship store will be transformed into a meeting point for fashion, art, and design, in a harmonious celebration of contemporary culture.

HUI

"Il Gusto dei Medici e il Dialogo sulla Tecnologia / The Taste of the Medici and the Dialogue on Technology", exhibition curated by Giacomo Santucci.

"The Taste of the Medici and the Dialogue on Technology – Making the Ordinary Extraordinary" is a captivating journey through the contemporary “Silk Road,” where art, fashion, design, and Chinese innovation meet the artistic genius of Renaissance Florence.

This internationally significant institutional event is part of the Shenzhen/Milan Cultural Design Week, promoted by the Hui Foundation in collaboration with the Shenzhen Industrial Design Professional Association and the Longhua District.

The exhibition, curated by Giacomo Santucci and produced by YNT Museum, transforms the spaces of the San Vittore and Dei Quaranta Martiri Complex into a cyber-dreamlike dimension, where the past and future converge.

The exhibition path develops as a metaphorical journey on two trains—Prometeo3011 and ZhuRong1956—which stop at a station called “Present.”

Here, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in a stimulating dialogue between 17th and 18th-century Florentine paintings and sculptures (by artists such as Salvator Rosa, Alessandro Magnasco, and Gioacchino Fortini), Miao crafts and fashion from the Guizhou region, and innovative design and cutting-edge technologies (such as the humanoid robot Kuavo) from the city of Shenzhen.

Conceived as a “conversation exhibition,” the show poetically explores, through 8 sections, the relationship between mind, heart, and hands, identifying the concept of “techne” as the meeting point between art, practical skills, theoretical-scientific knowledge, and historical-moral thought.

The exhibition therefore aims not only to build a bridge between distant cultures and epochs but also to demonstrate how art, science, and technology are universal tools for growth and mutual understanding.

It is an invitation to recognize the universal value of creativity, which allows us to embrace the concept of Humanitas, rediscovering our ability to transform thought into beauty, knowledge into innovation, and understanding into connection—in a timeless dialogue that unites peoples and paves the way for a shared future of understanding and progress.

MARTINO MIDALI

"Design of emotions": MARTINO MIDALI hosts the emoji collection by MONICA CASTIGLIONI.

From April 8 to 13, 2025, the Martino Midali store on Via Mercato 6 transforms into a space of artistic experimentation, hosting the EMOJI vase collection by designer and artist Monica Castiglioni in dialogue with E-Materica, the brand's Spring/Summer 2025 collection.

"Design of Emotions" is the title of this unique installation, where fashion and design converge to create a narrative that brings emotions to life.

The creations act as vessels of creativity and, simultaneously, keys to understanding an existential vision focused on connection and humanity.

This dialogue between shapes and feelings finds its common thread in the material itself, culminating in two ceramic creations displayed in the boutique window.

These reinterpret the classic essence of a vase as a keeper of emotions. Lory and Lino are shaped like the most iconic emojis—the first, cheerful and smiling; the second, more serious and reflective.

Their simplicity invites viewers into a profound reflection on their own emotions, transforming from decorative items to the center of a unique narrative and sensory experience.

The three different sizes of the vases, crafted by Ceramiche Rometti, a historic Italian ceramic company founded in 1927 by Federico Rometti, are presented in a color palette ranging from white and matte black to terracotta, with cherry, gray-blue, and moss green glazes.

Design of Emotions is a playful and artistic celebration of the collaboration between the two brands, blending ceramics with the world of textiles to create an immersive experience orchestrated by the senses.

Monica Castiglioni’s Emoji collection shares with Martino Midali's E-Materica collection the idea of translating emotions into tangible forms through different material approaches, but with an equally powerful visual and emotional impact.

Art and design become tools for storytelling, evoking deep emotions and transforming everyday objects into experiences.

This synergy is realized through color, form, and material: while Monica Castiglioni uses her vases as means of introspection, making emotions visible through ceramics and vibrant colors, Martino Midali translates the same emotionality into fabric, viewing the body as a collector of garments that offer intimate experiences, embracing warmth and softness.

Emoji invites a personal interpretation of shapes and colors, just as E-Materica turns clothing into an extension of personality, in the true style of Martino Midali.

In both cases, material serves as a bridge between inner self and the outer world: in Castiglioni's vases, emotions become tangible, while in Midali's fabrics, the body and material communicate in an intensely engaging sensory experience.

"When I met Monica in her showroom-kingdom in Ortigia, it was love at first sight. Even before recognizing her as an artist, I felt close to her as a woman, for her authenticity and the strength of her vision. Her way of transforming matter into emotion is something I feel very close to my work and my way of viewing creativity. It’s an honor to host her for this Design Week and to have built this project together, which stems from a shared feeling and the desire to explore new forms of expression," commented Martino Midali, on the eve of the opening.

E-Materica is the expression of Martino Midali's creative passion, where natural elements and artisanal textures blend into a unique textile story.

For Monica Castiglioni, however, ceramics represent a new challenge that enriches her expressive language, the result of a self-taught journey where experimentation and freedom remain central, just as they are in her jewelry.

"Generally, I don't take part in these types of collaborations, but with Martino, it was different. His style has always belonged to me: I wear it, I live it, I interpret it every day. This spontaneous harmony made our meeting even more meaningful, giving birth to an authentic project in which matter becomes the language of a shared emotion," says Monica Castiglioni.

MONICA CASTIGLIONI, daughter of the renowned Achille Castiglioni, is an artist and designer who, for over forty years, has explored the connection between nature and material experimentation through jewelry, ceramics, and visual arts.

Famous for her creations, including bronze jewelry made using the lost-wax casting technique and unique ceramics, Castiglioni also experiments with materials such as felt, Pyrex glass, and 3D printing, creating one-of-a-kind pieces displayed in prestigious museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York.

A special thanks to Bottega Sparkling, which will accompany the opening evening with its exceptional prosecco, and to Enrico Rizzi, who will delight guests with an exclusive tasting of chocolate and macarons.

The evening will be made even more special by the presence of a Chocolate Ambassador, who will guide guests on a sensory journey through refined and surprising flavors.

MOMONÌ

Momonì continues the poetry of living in the home and celebrates Italian design on the occasion of Design Week 2025.

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2025, Momonì continues to explore the world of home decor, enhancing the domestic experience with new and exclusive products.

The brand, which has always embodied relaxed and contemporary elegance, presents for the first time a line of 5 cushion covers made from 100% silk (3 in twill, 2 in crepe de chine), embellished with iconic floral and geometric prints from the Spring Summer 2025 collection, entirely designed by the Momonì maison. Each cushion cover, available in all the brand’s boutiques and on its e-commerce site for the price of 120 euros, is the perfect combination of luxury and comfort, designed to add a touch of class and refinement to domestic spaces.

For Momonì, the concept of "home" goes far beyond simple furniture: it’s a deep connection to the territory and the traditions that characterize it.

And it is with this spirit that the brand has decided to host the Venetian brand Micheluzzi Glass during Design Week.

The boutique window at Corso Como 3 will be set up with exquisite colored glass vases featuring floral accents, paired with the precious Momonì lace-printed dress in pastel tones. A combination that celebrates the excellence of Murano craftsmanship and perfectly embodies the values of Made in Italy.

Micheluzzi Glass creates hand-blown glass works designed by Elena and Margherita Micheluzzi, inspired by the lights and colors of Venice.

Each piece in the collection is the result of meticulous craftsmanship that blends the tradition of Murano glass with a unique contemporary approach.

These same values of excellence, attention to detail, and unmistakable style are shared by Momonì and Micheluzzi Glass, creating a perfect synergy between design, craftsmanship, and sensoriality.

This collaboration is not only a tribute to beauty but also a way to strengthen the bond with the Veneto region and the traditions that make it unique.

It is an emotional journey into art and craftsmanship, where Italian identity and the love for beauty merge to create experiences that enrich every space, forging a deep connection between the past, present, and future.
