Regional Councillor Barbara Mazzali at the first stop of the itinerary crossing the 12 provinces of Lombardy.

A remarkable journey has begun in Brescia, leading Lombardy toward its most anticipated event: the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Kicking off with the Brescia Art Marathon, the initiative "The Heart of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games" is a regional tourism promotion project that will travel through all twelve provinces of Lombardy, shining a spotlight on the region’s natural, cultural, and culinary treasures.
An exceptional ambassador for this journey is Vittorio Brumotti, a bike trial champion and well-known TV personality, already featured in the “Lombardia Style” videos, where he showcases the beauty of Lombardy through breathtaking two-wheeled stunts.
THE OLYMPICS TRAVELING THROUGH LOMBARDY
"Brescia’s marathon is no ordinary race—it carries the Olympic logo and a clear message: this event is not just about sports but also a unique opportunity to showcase Lombardy’s tourism excellence to the world. With its perfect blend of art, history, and innovation, Brescia is the ideal starting point for this grand adventure," said Barbara Mazzali, Lombardy’s Regional Minister for Tourism, Territorial Marketing, and Fashion.
She attended the first stop of what the media has already dubbed ‘Olympic Hearts’, alongside Laura Castelletti, Mayor of Brescia.
BRESCIA: A LIVING STAGE
"The city of Brescia has become a true living stage," continues Regional Councillor Barbara Mazzali. "Athletes, whether professionals or enthusiasts, have run through an extraordinary backdrop: Renaissance squares, Roman ruins, Lombard heritage sites, the majestic Castle, and modern architecture looking toward the future. It’s a journey through time that showcases our ability to innovate while staying deeply connected to our roots."
VITTORIO BRUMOTTI: SPORT, ADRENALINE, AND BREATHTAKING LANDSCAPES.
"When I thought of a personality who could represent the energy, passion, and beauty of our region, Brumotti was the natural choice. With his spectacular stunts and his innate talent for storytelling through sports, he will showcase Lombardy in all its visual and touristic splendor. His videos—available on InLombardia here—will offer a fresh and breathtaking perspective of our 12 provinces."
