Gio Glitch was artistically born in January 2019 as the alter ego of an illustrator and concept designer.
Following a serious accident, he decided to dedicate all his strength and energy to an in-depth study of oil painting techniques and the creation of self-contained artworks.
His expressive styles will at times be different from one another—a way of escaping verticality and repetition, not by choice, but out of need and necessity.
Hence, the pseudonym "Glitch," meaning "technical problem" or "interference," and his obsession with exploring new mediums and materials.
Change, in fact, has been the one constant in his artistic production to this day.
To date, there are over 300 of his paintings spread across Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and China.
He has participated in several tattoo conventions, exhibiting his series in solo shows.
In 2023, after a brief hiatus, he embraced an artistic style he calls "Postmodern Realism"—a fusion of two contrasting worlds, where he develops concepts using both modern and ancient materials, blending classical and contemporary art.
This marks the conclusion of a four-year research phase and the beginning of a personal and unprecedented artistic journey.
His studio is located in Carrara, where he works and teaches oil and acrylic painting.
