One of the largest textile industry districts in China brought four of its designers to Milan, presenting a "collective runway show" as part of the events section of the official CNMI calendar. The show took place on September 18 at the Garden Senato venue.
Keqiao's creativity has once again taken the spotlight in Milan.
The Chinese district from the city of Shaoxing, located in Zhejiang province, brought four of its talented designers to the Lombardy capital for Milan Fashion Week Women's Collection.
They presented a collective runway show as part of the official event section of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) calendar.
This project marks a significant comeback following the first exhibition event, “Keqiao The Excellence Exhibition Sustained for a Better Future,” held last year at Palazzo Isimbardi, which focused on innovative research and sustainability in the renowned textile district.
The runway show took place on September 18 at the Garden Senato venue, featuring four designers, each showcasing 15 looks: Zuyao Song, founder of his eponymous brand, Qing Leng with the label Moi aussi, Ziye Wang with her eponymous brand MinuitCode, and Yan Zhang with the label Suncun.
For the occasion, renowned artist Zhu Bingren, a researcher at the Chinese National Academy of Arts and a master of Smelting Realism—recognized as a master of Chinese arts and crafts and the father of contemporary copper architecture—created a limited edition of fans inspired by some of his works.
This initiative is the result of a three-year agreement with CNMI, with the next stop being Keqiao Fashion Week, scheduled for October.
It will also feature a selection of emerging Italian designers.
The partnership with CNMI aims to create opportunities and cultural exchanges, reinforcing ties between the two countries.
